Biography

Eric Bernstein was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania and raised in Westport, Connecticut. He studied filmmaking at the University of Southern California, where he earned his baccalaureate degree in cinema.

After college, Bernstein joined Aaron Spelling Productions, starting out in the proverbial mailroom. He became first person in the history of the company to become a working television writer while still in the mailroom, when staff producers bought his speculative "Love Boat" script outright. The produced show starred Audrey Landers.

Bernstein went on to pursue a freelance writing and filmmaking career.

Along the way, he worked as a freelance story editor for "A-list" Hollywood clients, crewed on "guerilla" low-budget independent films, and formed a web development company.

Ultimately, Bernstein returned home to work with his father managing the family engineering firm, Cryogenic Consulting Service, where he currently holds the title of Vice President.

He has worked in an engineering management capacity for the past six years.

His hobbies include biking and sailing.
